Hello, here is Izumi again!

With winter mornings still surrounding us it is nice to warm my hands around a cup of coffee at my friend Mai's café early on Sunday mornings. And once my hands are warm it feels right that they are then around my PEN and I can continue my long-running Paris Match-style photo essay of L'Espresso café and its activities, staff and customers.

So sit with me and have a coffee instead of a cup of tea and watch the café world go by. Order some breakfast, chat with people you know and from time to time raise PEN to your eye and capture a happy photograph for the magazine.

I mustn't forget that I am a flâneuse and a photographer of the streets so from time to time I shall go outside and have a walk around to see what is there to be seen.

Then it's time to depart until the next week. But not without thanking Mai and Anh and Tien and Van and Nhi and Lap and Steve and Wendy for being such delightful subjects for my eye and PEN's lens.
