Hello! Here is Izumi. And when the rains came they stayed. As I told you last time the happy photographs seem to have been swept away by the flooded gutters or dissolved by the raindrops. So my PEN and I decided when we were having our coffee at my friend's café (he has a digiato) that we would see if there were Moments worth capturing within a short radius of our table. Perhaps it was our thoughts creating opportunities but within a short time what you can see below presented itself to my eyes and my PEN's lens. |

I had a little talk with my PEN and myself if they were proper street photographs and we decided that because of the rain they were as they were in an arcade that had a street at both ends so it was like a covered lane and general people could walk through it when they wanted. Then we had another coffee and decided that it didn't matter anyway and that they were happy photographs and perhaps the top one was even a Decisive Moment. I think that the Muse of Serendip must have overheard us because then Tien (whom you have met before in my Diary) came back from an errand in the rain with her umbrella. You know me so you know what followed. Thus the below… |

I thought perhaps my Serendipity had gone on a holiday for a while but I think you will agree with me that it came back for the very happy photographs of Tien and her umbrella. And that gave me confidence that I should not doubt the presence of happy photographs, even if they are not all Decisive Moments, but I should realise that sometimes, as in Nature herself, things can be plentiful and at other times scarce but overall there will be a balance and I should not be an impatient girl as I know I sometimes can be. And a nice soothing cup of tea will always work its wonders. Therefore a much more relaxed and happier flâneuse says goodbye for now. Your friend, Izumi. |
