On the Prowl Again

Hello! Here is Izumi.

And this time I have really spent some mornings back on the streets to see what my eyes can find. And as you can see there were some interesting sights that my PEN and I could turn into happy photographs.

As well as visiting my friend's café I went walking along her streets to explore for Decisive Moments but I must admit to you that her streets do not seem to be as exciting or full of liveliness as the ones I am used to.

Or I thought is it just because I am used to them? Actually no that is not the right line of thought because if I was too used to my streets I would be starting to find them not very productive of new happy photographs and I would be finding the new ones more so.

But it is the opposite that is happening in my reality. And you will remember that I did adventure along some streets that I had not been along before and it was like coming over a hill into a new valley full of grazing photographs so much so that I did not even have to stalk or ambush them but like the lucky lioness I could be at my leisure when having dinner or capturing them.

But I did not return with completely empty hands, as I can show you here below.

And I know that the photograph above is not one of my happiest ones but if you have read in my News about the wonderful new book on Yvon le flâneur and my desires to be a flâneuse you will understand its meaning to me and my PEN.

So today are photographs from Newtown and Double Bay which you can decide if they have little or great differences.

I think like the pinhole lenses it is not fair to only spend one time there so I shall go again and see if the Decisive Moments become manifest for me. I am not sure when that will be but as the mornings are getting a bit warmer and the light is becoming a bit earlier I could be having nice reflections again which will awaken my creative juices and lead to many happy photographs.

Please keep visiting me to see such things happen.

Thank you from your friend,

Izumi.
