Espresso Time

Hello!

Here is a happy Izumi talking to you because I am returning to being faithful and true to my purpose of walking the footpaths and footsteps of M Cartier-Bresson and Jeff Carter and others with my PEN in my hand and my eye on the streets.

I wanted to go somewhere different but not away from my desires so I went to my friend's café to see if Decisive Moments, being French originally, liked to have a coffee at at café in the morning, too.

And I think they did.

You probably can't notice unless you are handling him yourself, but here I am using my new lens, which is the modern and faster-focusing short zoom of 14-42mm which comes with the new model PENs.

I am being faithful to and staying with my original PEN for the moment as there are sayings that in Spring there will be a PEN Pro with a proper built-in viewfinder which will suit my eye and hand and desires much better. I think I much prefer that I wait for him.

I was enjoying being closer to the spirit of M Cartier-Bresson and having coffees while my PEN was working. I wonder if I would feel even more closer if I had a nice glass of wine with me too. And a little cup of saké for my PEN. Especially on these cold mornings.

Even though it was interesting going to other different places (and I will probably go to more of them in the future) with my PEN and the family of lenses, being on the streets with the activities and the people, some of them my old friends and some of them my new friends and even some of them friends that I have not met yet, was very comfortable-feeling and I will do a lot more of it.

So now I say a smiling goodbye to you for now and thank you again for being with me and sharing my walks and discoveries with Decisive Moments and happy photographs and cups of coffee when we're out and cups of tea when we're at home.

Your friend,

Izumi.
