Hello again. It is Izumi here for you and pleased to have been walking along different streets as I told you I was going to do. There are some things that are looking similar to the other streets I have already walked and shown you what I find there and there are other things that are not the same so I think I am not repeating myself in a visual manner so much that I am worried and have to talk to myself again. But see what happy photographs I have captured here and you can have your own decision if I am right or not. |

When I am walking to somewhere new for the first time I like to be alerted for a Decisive Moment that may happen suddenly so I do not think it is the time to take one of the hand operated lenses with me in case I have to be quick like the lioness to capture my image. And also I do not have in my mind yet if I want the spacial look of a wide angle lens or the closeness squeeze of a telephoto but it is in the sunny part of the morning so I know I do not need the fastness of some of my lenses. The best one for these times I think is the 14mm to 150mm lens (28mm-300mm eqiv) so I am prepared for many different photographs if they appear in front of my PEN and me. As you can see from the photographs on this day I am using looks from both ends of the lens and also plenty of looks from the middle so I think it was the right one to bring along with us. I think my PEN enjoyed having him on, too. |

Here above is a photograph that I think is happier as a black and white one than in his original colours. It helps with the compressing of the distances and I like that it is now in all different shades of greys rather than like a rainbow with all different colours. And I think M Cartier-Bresson and Jeff Carter like it this way also. |

There are many models in the shops on this part of the street too but I think if the light is interesting and I can have a happy photograph then it is all right to capture images of them. After all many photographers have themes or projects of just one subject and even Mr Ansel Adams spent years photographing one tree near his house which I saw in a book that my uncle has. I think perhaps I can think of them as like different people and M Cartier-Bresson or Jeff Carter would never say that he should not photograph any more people because he has already photographed many in previous days or weeks or months. As long as every new photograph is different with activity or light or personage then it can be interesting and worthy of capture whether it be by famous photographers such as I mention or learning and enquiring (and walking) ones like your friend Izumi here. |

I have enjoyed it very interestingly to go to another new street like I did the last one and I hope you have found it interesting too to see what I found there. Like the lioness who goes over a different hill in her territory to see what she can find, now that I know what is there I can go back with the challenge of just taking one lens to see what we can come across and what Moments it may attract towards us. Thank you for coming with us again and I hope you can join us for the next time I go street walking with my PEN and his different lenses. Thank you, Izumi. |
